Instructions for Session Chairs:

-         Session Chair contribution is very important to ensure that sessions run smoothly

-         Where possible, biographies of speakers will be passed to the Session Chairs however Session Chairs should try to meet the speakers in advance of the session. Speakers have been asked to introduce themselves to their session chairs and also to arrive at the session venue 15 minutes early to familiarize themselves with the room and AV equipment.  Please take this opportunity to brief the presenters on how you would like the session to run.

-         The conference program will be running to a very tight schedule. Session Chairs are responsible for ensuring the session stays on track.  Session Chairs are asked to signal to speakers when there are only 2 minutes of their time slot remaining.

-         If a speaker fails to attend please DO NOT bring the next presentation forward as delegates move among sessions to hear specific papers.  Some suggestions to fill open time slots are:

• Open the floor to an extended Q&A session for speakers who have already presented
• Have one or two back up topics ready for discussion
• Bring a topic on memory stick or CD for presentation and/or discussion
• Open the floor for discussion on any topic of interest to the audience

-        Conference room will be equipped with laptop and data projector.  Speakers are not allowed to use their own laptops during their presentation.  Speakers have been asked to submit their presentations in advance of the session.  A technician will be in the room to assist Speakers and Chairs.
